What sorts of aircraft did he work on? (I'm assuming P-47's, at least, given this website?) Does he have any info on depot-level modifications ordered on P-47's (or other fighter aircraft) that were supposed to be carried out before the aircraft was released to a unit for combat? Information from real engine and repair specialists has been sorely neglected in wartime histories-- every author always acknowledges how essential these guys were to the war effort, but us "baby boomers" rarely get to hear in detail about what they DID and the planes they worked on, from their perspective. If he's amenable, I'd really like to have him drop a line or two here on the "P-47 Advocates" website, or just e-mail me at my home site. Thanks! --Ed Wagamon, Virginia : We have a good friend who served as an Aircraft Engine Specialist with the 10th Repair Squadron. I'm looking for anyone with information about this group.
